Aerial Mapping Technology
Compared to traditional surveying technology that is skill and labor intensive, using UAVs imagery to produce orthomosaics, DSMs and point clouds for quarries, highways and housing developments increases safety, efficiency and accuracy, while keeping cost and labor to a minimum. This new and effective process of generating up-to-date information allows for continuous monitoring and well-structured decision making for any area of site surveying.
- Base Map
- Topographic Model
- Stockpile Quantities
- Construction Progress
- Utility Locations
- Used for base map planning and site improvemnent
- The UAV collects topographic information allowing a 3-D model to be created
- Data can be analyzed to determine material quantities in stockpiles, without the hazards of personnel occupying and measuring
- Because of the UAV’s simplicity, sites can be monitored at multiple stages. Collected data can include photos, measuring lengths and grading progress
- Used in conjunction with our Utility Location Services, if flown immediately after a utility locations survey, painted locations are recorded for reference long after the paint has faded
